Badbadnotgood

No one’s as good as the Californian super combo Badbadnotgood when it comes to wildly mashing up music genres. Since the band’s inception in 2010, the four friends Matthew Tavares, Chester Hansen, Alex Sowinski and Leland Whitty have been combining jazz with hip hop, samples and electronic elements to a new sound. Thinking outside the box, these hip hoppers revived the free spirit of jazz, trumping the original in the process – what an astonishing achievement. Their most impressive album to date is “IV”, an album which unites musicians that usually don’t share the same stage. Like true artists, they couldn’t care less about rules. By the way, Future Islands frontman Sam Herring and producer Kaytranada are part of their big circle of artist friends. It remains a secret, though, which one of their friends will most likely show up at Melt Festival.
