Gurr

Thanks to their fear of doves, Andreya Casablanca and Laura Lee now go by the moniker of Gurr. For one thing, it resembles the icky sounds coming from these nasty beasts, but it also sounds like the German word “Gör”, which translates to “brat”. This word also perfectly describes their way of conquering the stage with their garage-pop-punk-rock ‘n’ roll bastard: with a friendly smile; in your face; highly euphoric yet casual. Songs like “Walnut”, “Moby Dick” and “Rollerskate” are full of melodic drunkenness that can’t just be written off the cuff. They already performed their debut album “In My Head” on a variety of festival stages. Just recently they announced via Facebook that their sophomore album was already done and dusted: we can’t wait to hear more!
