In 2017, hardly any other band appeared on more top ten playlists than Mount Kimbie and their third studio album “Love What Survives”. It’s no surprise as the two boys’ unobtrusive sound speaks to all kinds of genre connoisseurs; from techno fans to indie lovers. The London-based minimal duo, comprised of Dominic Maker and Kai Campos, is known for its characteristic low-fi aesthetics. Yet, the two sound tinkerers kept on developing further. After their early home studio vibes, Mount Kimbie’s focus has shifted towards a more band-oriented live setup. Collaborations with James Blake and King Krule rank amongst their new album’s highlights. After a five-year Melt hiatus, we can’t wait to welcome the post-dubstep pioneers back on stage.
