During his performance between Lake Gremmin and all the colourful excavators, we hope to clear up one thing that’s been on our minds since we first listened to him: how is it possible for a merely 20-year-old to compress so much heartache with one single – admittedly rough – voice? Even more importantly: how many cigarettes and litres of whiskey were necessary to make such a young voice sound like a super-wise old, grey-haired guy?
With songs like „Your Hands Holding Mine“, „Gap In The Clouds“ and „A Little While“, George van den Broek a.k.a. Yellow Days released incredible hits of the soul and blues variety that we can’t help but wonder how he’s going to deliver all this – despair and voice – on stage. However, we’re absolutely sure he’ll find a way!
