After our first announcement in November, including The xx, Florence + The Machine, Tyler, The Creator, Nina Kraviz, Jon Hopkins (Live), Mura Masa and Cigarettes After Sex, we’re excited bringing the next wave of artists to you today. Give a warm welcome to the incredible Fever Ray who will bring her only German festival show to Ferropolis next summer, Odesza, The Internet, Badbadnotgood and many more!
Karin Dreijer Andersson is back in Ferropolis! Together with her brother Olof, she takes the stage as The Knife; she contributed vocals to Röyksopp; and there’s Fever Ray, of course, her solo project: since the Swedish musician appeared on screen, hardly any artist has been as directional as her. We literally can’t wait to see Fever Ray bringing her new album „Plunge“ to life on the Melt Stage next summer!
Since their last Melt appearance, Odesza have been more than a little busy: the US duo’s current record „A Moment Apart“ garnered smashing reviews by fans and critics, receiving numerous Grammy Award nominations on top.
The internationally renowned and genre-bending blend of the festival is further extended by The Internet founded by Syd Tha Kid of Odd Future fame, the hip hop collective who counts Frank Ocean and Tyler, The Creator amongst its other prominent members. Jazz super combo Badbadnotgood also confirmed their appearance, bringing a mix of R&B and electronic beats to Lake Gremmin for the first time.
Melt has always had a knack for the hottest newcomers. So, it’s no surprise that cloud rap will take over Ferropolis from 13-15 July next year with a performance by Rin, one of this year’s must-see up-and-comers! Just like Alma, a chart regular in 2017, who forms a duet with IAMDDB by spearheading the „BBC Sound Of 2018“ longlist.
Encompassing the entire spectrum of electronic music, Fatima Yamaha, Andhim, Nastia, Kim Ann Foxman and Inga Mauer will get behind the decks in Ferropolis!
Just added to the lineup:
Fever Ray, Odesza, The Internet, Badbadnotgood, Rin, Fatima Yamaha, Alma, Parcels, The Blaze, Andhim, WhoMadeWho, Hundreds, IAMDDB, Nastia, Antigone, Cem, Claire Morgan, Cleveland, Cormac, DJ Seinfeld, Faka (Live), Fatima Al Qadiri, Inga Mauer, Jayda G, Jon Hester, Kim Ann Foxman, Klee, Lanark Artefax (Live), Leo Pol (Live), Lucy, Marc Miroir, Moscoman, Moses Sumney, Project Pablo, Sedef Adasi, Smerz, Somewhen, The Hacker presents Amato (Live), Tijana T, Vincent Neumann, Zenker Brothers.
